Gina believes it takes great courage and strength to seek help for problems we all face along our life’s journey. Whether you have been in therapy before or are considering it for the first time, take comfort in knowing you do not have to travel the path alone.
Gina’s professional orientation is rooted in developmental psychology, somatic and mindful practices as well as Internal Family Systems. Her approach combines traditional and alternative techniques such as somatic focused EMDR that are focused in the “here and now” and at times are experiential, taking into account the various ways people express themselves.
She has taught courses on Child Therapy, Couples Counseling and Domestic Violence and Abuse at California Lutheran University Graduate Psychology Department. As a EMDR Consult-in-Training, Gina is passionate about supporting and mentoring her fellow clinicians and Associate MFTs.
As a therapist she is a perceptive, active listener who provides a warm, safe environment where clients can express their inner life at their own pace. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build upon their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
In her free time, she can be found backpacking through the Sierras, hiking in our beautiful Sespe wilderness, cooking for family and friends and enjoying moments with her husband and two grown children.
