Requirements

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner


Position:

  • Provide high quality care for a population of relatively stable and compliant patients. This includes children, adolescents, and adults primarily with anxiety disorders, mood disorders and ADHD

  • Meet with povided in-house Supervising Collaborating Physician at minimum once per month

  • Provide tools that focus on improving the client’s quality of life

  • Provide direct care and assume primary responsibility for clinical management of patients and long-term retention

  • Manage the psychiatric care of patients, both from a medical and psychological perspective

  • Provide medication management per protocol, provide psycho-education to the patient and family when required, and collaborate with referring therapists at MOCWC, Inc.

  • Maintain excellent record keeping


The candidate we are seeking:

  • A unique practitioner to hold a part-time or full-time position, as a Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who is open to an integrative approach to psychiatric care in a private practice setting. (This is a W2 position, not a 1099 contractor)

  • Must be willing to see children and adolescents

  • Self-motivated, detailed oriented, computer proficient practitioner who is comfortable marketing and generating patients to MOCWC, and who can communicate effectively with business owners and support team on a regular basis

  • Have excellent patient rapport and be willing to participate in a team setting

  • Lives in CA or on the West Coast, with experience working in CA and understanding CA laws


Education and Experience:

  • One (1) to Three (3) years psychiatric experience or 4,600 hours prescribing medication

  • Unrestricted California license as a Nurse Practitioner

  • DEA and Furnishing Number

  • Completion of PMHNP Certification, compliant with ANCC or AANP

  • Must be a graduate of a U. S. Accredited Nursing program that satisfies California requirements

  • Salary: Max approximately $200,000

Practitioners are supported and encouraged to reach individual career goals, with periodic check-ins with the executive team.
